Mo Running - Leeds · 5 November 2016 ·

Movember has built a global men’s health movement, funding over 1,300 projects, changing the way health services reach and support men. Movember is taking on 3 of the biggest issues facing men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide. Movember is for everyone, not just for men.

Story

I'm running in memory of family and friends who unfortunately lost their battle with cancer and in support of those who are currently battling with the disease and to help raise awareness and funds to help prevent it taking any more lives.

The team is named in honour of Hayley's sister Susan, obviously the run is for men's health but it has become our standard team name for all charity events. Susan sadly lost her battle a couple of years ago. Susan was such a wonderful person and provided us with so much support over the last 10 years with all of the wedding preparations and being a driving force for us with the renovation of our house. Not a day goes by that we don't think about her, she was one in a million.

I will also be running in honour of my uncle Steve, my cousin Helen, and my best friend Stephen who were all taken way too early by this horrible disease.
