Story
Hi All,
I have decided to run nine marathons in 2012 to raise money for the Princess Alice Hospice (PAH) in memory of my late mother Jackie. As you may know, mum sadly passed away around 15 months ago on Christmas Day 2010.
Mum had battled cancer for a number of years and received tremendous support from the PAH. The Hospice is not just somewhere for people to go in their final few days, it offers so much more. Mum was a day visitor on a regular basis for nearly two years. This was something mum really looked forward to and gave her the much needed opportunity to relax and enjoy her time. It also provided her with all the support and care she required.
This really is a fantasic charity which relies on donations from the public. The Hospice needs £18,000 a day to keep going, which is why I'm setting myself this challenge. I'd really appreciate any donation you can offer to the Princess Alice Hospice in memory of mum, Jacqueline Mary Billinghurst.
The Nine Marathons
I am starting this challenge with the London Marathon on 22nd April closely followed by the others listed below. I am waiting to finalise the last two marathons due to dates not being finalised and registrations not yet open, but watch this space...

If anyone has a burning desire to run a marathon in 2012, give me a shout, it would be great to share the experience of at least one marathon...
Thanks. Much Love, James xxx
