Eva's climb up Snowdon

Eva's climb up Snowdon · 4 June 2022
My name is Eva Salisbury and I have been diagnosed with epilepsy. I suffer from a type called Clonic Tonic , this is the type you would think of when people think of seizures. The seizure starts on one side of my brain and spreads to the other side.
Leading up to my seizures I will have absences , usually I don't know I've had one, sometimes I can have a full seizure and lose consciousness . I drop to the ground and my body begins to jerk rhythmically, during this time I have no awareness or body control. Usually when I come round my teachers or parents have kept me safe and an ambulance is on its way.
My seizures usually last from 7 to 10 minutes, I have no memory of what happened other than I'm scared and upset, I have no energy and just want to sleep for days.
I want to raise money for children with epilepsy so I can help them. I want to do this challenge to prove to myself and other children that even with this condition we can still achieve things, it's been hard.
I am now medicated and it seems to have helped even though I don't like to take my medication, I know I have to take it.
Thank you to everyone who's helped me so far , if you want to help raise some money, anything will help and it would mean the world to me and other kids who will go through this in the future.
Special thanks to my teachers at Ysgol Bro Alun, my fellow classmates for understanding, Lin Bradley and the paramedics and doctors who have treated me from the NHS💗
I will be walking up Snowdon with my Daddy, uncles and maybe my little sister on 4th June 2022, 1 month before my 9th Birthday .
Thank you Eva Salisbury , aged 8
