Dear All,

Update Saturday 26th October : As many of you know I have have recently taken the difficult decision to withdraw from the Jersey White Collar Boxing event due to a cracked rib - the final straw to break the camel's back after 2 months of sparring and training. In truth it was probably a punch, not straw, which finished me off.

I know many of you were looking forward to watching me being beaten to a pulp and I am sorry to deny you this spectacle! Nevertheless there are 8 other boxing matches to watch, and it will still be a really fun night in great company. Thank you to those who are joining our party on the night.

I had intended to raise a little money for the Jersey Lifeboat Association, a very important local charity whose volunteers respond to emergencies around the coastal waters of Jersey. Any money you kindly donate will stay on the island and be used to keep this service running.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday 9th November!
