Our story
On Saturday 21st September James and Bryony will be taking part in a 15-mile trek across the wilds of Dartmoor in order to raise vital funds for Nowzad Dogs! Also taking part are our dogs Halle, Squaddie and Khaki (aka Batboy, a Nowzad rescue)...
James is an Army Reservist, so the biggest challenge for him is not to get through the trek, but to put up with me and the dogs! Apparently we will be completing part of the Royal Marines Commando ‘Green Beret’ 30 mile endurance route march, so feel sorry for the amount of moral support he will have to give me to get me through it! The fact that we can share this occasion with three of our dogs is fantastic (Alfie is just too old unfortunately), and that Khaki is a Nowzad rescue, makes this charity and this event even more special to us.
Nowzad Mission Statement:
Nowzad Dogs is a charity set up to relieve the suffering of animals in Afghanistan; including companion animals, working equines, stray and abandoned dogs and cats and all other animals in need of care and attention, and to provide and maintain rescue, rehabilitation and education facilities for the care and treatment of such animals with no voice but ours.
