London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·
When we started training for the London Marathon in December 2019 we didn't think we'd be waiting until October 2021 to run it. Better late than never, although whether the extra time has done much for our running ability is questionable (cycling, on the other hand).
We are running for the MS Society, a cause very close to our hearts. Jamie was diagnosed with MS in 2018 and his mother Annabel has lived with it for more than a decade.
The MS Society does wonderful work by investing in research and providing support and care for people with the illness. Over the past decade there been multiple breakthroughs in treatments that slow the progression of MS, including Ocrelizumab, the drug that Jamie is currently on.
These discoveries would not have been possible without funding from charities like the MS Society. Today is a particularly crucial time for MS research: we still do not fully understand what causes the illness, and more funding is needed in order to find a cure.
Thank you for taking the time to look at our page, we are extremely grateful for any donations.
