Scoo-B-Doo works alongside Gloucester Royal Special Care Baby Unit to buy the best and most advanced equipment available to help save babies in need of special care. Through it's fundraising efforts for advanced equipment for example - ventilators, incubators and monitors, Scoo-B-Doo helps to give its tiny patients the best possible chance of life.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I really hope that you will sponsor me in my "Day of Silence" because the scoo-b-doo charity means alot to me. Give me faith that trying to help works!

My cousins Joe and Ed (identical twins) were born at 27 weeks and without their SCBU they wouldn't be here today. Joe weighed 2lbs 4oz and Ed weighed just 2lbs 2 oz (that's just a bag of sugar!) They both spent 11 weeks in SCBU. They will be 6 in July!

Also my mum's best friend had her identical twin girls, Kate and Edie, at 31 weeks and without the neonatal unit in Gloucester they wouldn't be here either. Kate weighed 3lbs 1oz and Edie weighed 2lbs 13oz. They were tiny! They turned 3 on Wednesday!!

I decided to do a Day of Silence as I knew I would have to do something that would be difficult for me! It's going to be very, very hard for me as I always have a lot to say!!!

Please help me help the service that saved some very special little people to me, and look after many many other premature and sick babies every day and save their lives. £5 here or £10 there will help me to reach my target of £1000.00.

I visited Gloucester Neonatal Unit on Wednesday and just was shocked how many tiny tiny babies were there being cared for. I spoke to some parents and it was sad to see how worried they were but I also was lucky to watch a mum get her twins ready to go home after a LONG TIME in the unit.

I want to use the £1000 I raise to buy a "High Flow ventilation unit", this helps keep the baby's lungs open more between breaths and helps the baby's lungs to grow better.

Please sponsor me to shut up for a day and help these tiny people.

Thankyou

Jamie x
