Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2023 · 14 May 2023 ·

The Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon will take place on Sunday 14 May 2023 and has been inspired by former Leeds Rhinos captain, Kevin Sinfield OBE, and his fundraising challenges in recent years in support of his friend and team mate Rob Burrow.

Story

On the 14th of May, I will be running the very first Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon, along with 4 good mates.

The money raised will support the Rob Burrow Centre for a Motor Neurone Disease ( known as ALS in the States) and the MND Association.

Any followers of rugby will be aware of the devastating effect that MND has had on Rob Burrow, Doddie Weir, and recently Ed Slater. It is a brutal disease which often strikes people in their prime and currently has no cure.
The MNDA fund essential research which aims to bring us closer to a cure for MND. The new Leeds care centre will aim to provide a safe haven for patients and their families, a peaceful environment, with the best possible care, helping them to “live in the now“ with hope, and courage.

Any donations you can make will be hugely appreciated.
