My daughter, Alexandra, and I are joining a trek this summer to go to Everest base camp.  The altitude will certainly be a challenge having never ventured so high before, as will some of the very high passes and wobbly bridges which will test my vertigo!

We both believe that such a challenge is worthy of raising some money for charity.  I have chosen The Connection at St Martin's-in-the-Fields, one of the busiest homeless charities in London and indeed the UK.  The Connection is currently one of the chosen charities of the Incisive Media Foundation, our company's charitable foundation that was started in 2010 and that has since raised over £2m towards a range of causes that focus on education, mental health and youth support, both nationally and internationally.  The Connection is our latest charitable partner as we seek to support our local community in Central London and in particular those less fortunate than ourselves that need immediate help.
