Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My name is Jamie Wood, I'm a cancer survivor, when I was 17 I was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer. I had 16 courses of the strongest chemotherapy, 3 major operations, one operation took 13 hours and 10 surgeons. Not only did I beat cancer but I went against the odds an achieved something that no one ever thought I would do. I passed a boxing medical and returned to the ring, not only did I return I also won my fight as well. Now I want to raise as much money as possible for the Bone Cancer Research Trust. I want to show all cancer patients and survivors that to never give up an there is always hope. Even after treatment I am still getting fitter and stronger each day.

Whilst I was having treatment, I've seen too many cancer patients with my tumour suffer mainly losing there battle. I have a place in my heart for the people who go through such a terrible time so if you could please be as generous as you can, even if it's  £1 or 50p. Every little helps. I'm running this marathon for every cancer patient as I know exactly what they're going through.

Thank you for you support an your generosity.

Regards. Jamie Wood.
