At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit mine and Janie’s JustGiving page.  It’s been created to raise much needed funds for Alzheimer’s Research, but here’s why it means so much more …

“Lost my Mum (Margaret Nash) 7 years ago (May 2007) aged 75, after battling Alzheimer’s for 12 years.  Then 2 years ago my Dad (Bob) was diagnosed at the age of 80 – fortunately Dad is still with us :)

In 2000 I was introduced to my now very special friend Janie, when her daughter Laura told me how her ‘Nanan’ had Alzheimer’s.  Sadly Janie lost her Mum (Audrey Nightingale) 10 years ago (Nov 2002) aged 78.

I’m doing this in memory of BOTH our lovely Mum’s, because it’s that which brought us all together, so means even more to me.”
