Thanks for taking the time to visit this page. As most of you know Mum was diagnosed with cancer early last year and though she was so valient, never complaining and remaining very much her true self right until the end she sadly passed away on Wed 23rd Jan.

Laura and Sophie looked after Jan with the help of friends and family at home until 5 days before her death. She spent her last 5 days at Loros which is an amazing hospice in Leicester that supports families right at the end in the most amazing way. Loros ensured mum passed away with dignity and without pain or fear. That is something that I will never forget.

Loros is almost completely funded by donations and so as a family we would be very greteful if anyone wanting to send something make a small donation in lieu of sending us flowers or gifts as this is the most amazing charity. 

We are heartbroken to have lost her so soon but are so glad for the many memories. Mum was such an amazing person to so many people. A loyal friend, an outstanding mother and a world famous author and illustrator, producing close to 100 titles and winning numerous awards.  She inspired a whole generation of young artists and shared so much joy with so many people through her books. 

Her dry sense of humor, wicked laugh and amazing sense of style will not be forgotten.
