Remembering Jane Adams (formerly Power)

In memory of Jane Adams (Formerly Power)
Wild Hogs Hedgehog Rescue is a 100% volunteer run organisation that help to save our hedgehogs. Hedgehog numbers are in decline and we help to conserve this important species.

Story

We sadly lost Jane in May 2020 during the first national lockdown. To date, we have been unable to remember and celebrate her life in the way she had wished. With no possibility in the near future of achieving this, we have decided to set up this Just Giving page so those who wish to remember her, in a way that was close to her heart, can do so.

Jane was a keen gardener and never a happier moment was spent then foraging in her flower beds, followed by a cup of tea enjoying the company of her family and friends.

Mum had a soft spot for our much-loved prickly friends -- the hedgehog. In the 1980s, she regularly took in injured, orphaned, and underweight hedgehogs and cared for them until they were fit for release. In more recent years, she encouraged hedgehogs into her garden and, somewhat surprisingly, succeeded! In many ways, her nocturnal habits meant that they were very much together in the garden.

This year, more so than any other, we have all become closer to nature and really appreciate all that is around us. With hedgehogs under serious threat in the UK, we can't think of a better way to remember Jane than by trying to protect the hedgehogs that she spent so many years caring for.

Thank you,

Jane's family
