Maggie's on the Runway · 16 June 2018 ·
I first became aware of Maggie's when I was diagnosed with breast cancer which had spread to my lymph nodes in May 2014. Luckily for me Maggie's had just opened at Clatterbridge where I was having treatment ( surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, Herceptin and Tamoxifen). Maggies were instrumental in helping to put me back together again, all was going well starting my new life, fundraising for Maggie's and back to work. Then in July 2017 at my 3 year check up after a CT scan designed to reassure me that all was well, the bottom fell out of my world again. My cancer had returned, so now I am having forever treatment to keep things at bay. The good news is that this is now going to plan.
So now I am a lifetime member of a very special club that nobody wants to join but if full of some pretty incredible people who all can benefit from the fabulous support at Maggie's. They are totally reliant on donations to run their centres and I would really like to help fundraise to enable as many people as possible to feel the love and support at Maggie's Centres.
Maggie's on the Runway 2018 is an incredible event to raise money for the Manchester centre and has given me the most incredible boost and has helped me to start getting my mojo back.Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.Donations no matter what size are very gratefully received as every penny really does count.
