To mark my half-century, I have dusted down my running shoes and I am planning to complete the Great North Run.  I am running for CRUK as I would like to use this opportunity to make a difference to people who have been diagnosed with cancer.  CRUK carries out ground-breaking research and is making real progress in identifying new ways to treat and manage the disease. Working in a CRUK-funded Institute I know how every penny can be made to count and what wonderful work they do.
