FairPlay is an amazing charity working with children and young people with disabilities to help them lead independent, fulfilling lives. They give them opportunities  to take part in positive experiences that make a real difference to their lives, and I have seen first hand what an impact this has made to the daughter of a friend with a life debilitating illness.  They enable parents to have valuable respite from 24 hour care and give children and  young people the opportunity to develop a wide range of life skills. For this reason, I have decided to don a wet-suit,  and train to be able to swim for 2 miles. I'm not a keen swimmer and even less enthusiastic about cold water, but  It's a small sacrifice to make to ensure that FairPlay has the funds to continue its very special work.
