Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year Patrick and I managed to get a couple of last minute tickets to Strictly Air Ambulance, a Strictly Come Dancing take off, organised by the Essex Air Ambulance.

I came home blown away, both from the dancing and the realisation of just how essential the Air Ambulance is and what it provides.

It's impossible to believe this Life Saving Service relies on 'Charitable Donations' to keep the helicopters in the air.  The clip we were shown; 'Kate's Story' is pasted below, please do watch it and see for yourself.

Each Mission costs around £2,700, a staggering £480,000 a month for the two helicopters, £5.8 Million per year!!

Thanks to my brilliant family and a certain special birthday ending in '0', I am extremely lucky to be taking part in this years show to raise valuable funds for the Essex Air Ambulance.

Along with five other contestants we will nervously battle it out on the dance floor to provide an evening of fun and entertainment, all with the sole aim of raising as much money as possible.

Training has been full on, I jump in my little car twice a week for a 90 mile round trip to Collier Row where I train with my paired Professional Partner Sam Jeffery who has been just amazing. Practice then continues at home in an attempt to spare Sam's patience lol, before hitting the A12 again. There's been dress hunting, shoe shopping and fitness training, it's been fun, hard work, technical, frustrating, neck wrenching and expensive, lol, but worth every second, every aching muscle and every penny.

The show is already a SELL OUT, possibly  due to the appearance of a certain sexy Russian Dancer  :-)  ?

(2/3/16: Due to visa problems Gleb Savchenko has been replaced with Giovanni Pernice and Joanne Clifton)

To all those who bought tickets, a huge thank you.... I hope we do you proud.

If you were just too late but would still like to support the charity by sponsoring my huge out of comfort zone, no matter what the amount it would be appreciated masses.
.....You may even come away from the show blown away as I did, and want to donate a little more ;-)

Thank you for visiting my page, if you're attending on the 11th
......See You There
