EMCS is a primary school providing a completely free education to the very poorest families in a remote and isolated part of northern Tanzania. It costs just £20 per month to educate a child and this provides well trained teachers, excellent resources, uniforms, shoes, and a healthy meal. These children can then support their families and even help to educate their own parents and siblings. 

Unlike many larger charities, ALL funds raised will go straight to East Meru Community School - none of the funds raised will be used in any other expenses or to fund any aspect of our marathon participation. Jane has been working with the school since it's foundation in 2011 and has full confidence that all funds raised will be put to excellent use. Michelle, a fellow runner who lives in the same village as Jane has kindly agreed to support the school as well. We can regularly be seen running the roads, across the fields, in rain, hail, sleet and snow (and sometimes, even sunshine), and contrary to popular belief, Suffolk is not flat!!  

Education really is a game changer for these families and so we do hope you will support us! It will really help to keep us motivated as we plod the roads and footpaths in preparation for the 26.2 mile run round London!
