• My team member, Karen, reaches her 60th Birthday in June 2018 and I am going to celebrate it with her by stepping right out of my comfort zone by trecking around 4-7 hours a day covering approx 50kms over 5 days! 
• As some of you may know, the Barnard-Jenkins family have been on their cancer journey since 2012 .  Phill (Dad) had cancer for about two and a half years before he died in October 2014.  Then, eight months after Phill passed away, his son Toby, at the age of 15, got cancer as well. Toby and his family are a massive inspiration to me and I wanted to honour them in some way.  I
  asked Toby to nominate a charity of his choice and he chose the purpose built TYA (teenage young adult) inpatient and day
  care ward at University Hospitals, Bristol. 
• The family still have 16 months to go on their journey so when
  we do our ‘walk’ in September 2018, they will be very close to the end of their journey and this will be a great way for Toby, and his family, to say goodbye and thank you to Area 61.
