Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm going to do a 250m Zip Slide from the top of my favourite football stadium across the River Wear in Sunderland to support a local charity, St. Benedicts Hospice.  The last time I did something like this was probably on a school orienteering trip and I think it was an abseil from about 12ft.  I don't think I ever recovered from that trauma!

St. Benedicts Hospice in Sunderland are a great organisation who provide pallative care for people with life threatening illnesses.  I think of myself in such a situation and know that I would want to be surrounded by such caring people who would also help my family once I've gone.  With any charitable organisation they rely on donations to keep their fantastic work going.

I know people that have been helped by St.Benedicts and the difference they make with their support and expertise even after loved ones have passed.

I really appreciate your donations and I know the money raised will make such a difference to people in their last moments of life.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I'll update this page with videos and photographs so you can see progress.

Thanks again, Jane
