It all started with a little alien...

Poppy 'Rocket' Elsie Keeling

Our little hero suffered with a very rare condition called cloaca which affects 1 in 50,000. During her short stay on this strange planet Poppy was taken care of by the amazing teams at Alder Hey.

Alder Hey not only helped our Poppy but they have done amazing work for many more families. We would like to show our appreciation for a few of their departments. The money raised will be shared between PICU, Urology department and the Bereavement centre. The money raised will go to help these departments with research, knowledge and skills, which will help other families like ours.

Jan would like to mention her son and her daughter-in-law Shaun and Jojo who have been inspirational and the bravest people she has ever known. They are a force to be reckoned with and have inspired family and friends to live their strongest and healthiest lives. 

Shaun, Jojo and Poppy have encouraged Jan, Vicky and Sam to become fitter and train for a 10km race, where we have had to do Tuesday hill training at Everton valley and Croxteth 5km Park run and lots of runs with Scooby the dog.

Also we would like to mention the rest of the family and how inspiring and brave they have been and all our friends that have been there for us all.
