I work in a laboratory at The Institute of Cancer Research that aims to find new ways to improve outcomes for children and teenagers with rhabdomyosarcomas, the type of cancer that Chris Lucas had. 

This year marks the planned opening of a new international
clinical trial for rhabdomyosarcoma patients in the UK and other
countries.  This incorporates some of our research findings funded by the Chris Lucas Trust that we expect will make a difference to the lives of some young rhabdomyosarcoma patients.  But more research is still needed.   We need to find new treatments that reduce the number of years of life lost to sarcoma in young people. 

I have been inspired and humbled by Lynn and Lynn Lucas’
tireless efforts to support our research over the years.  I am riding my bike, however long it may take, as a small but tangible token of my deep appreciation of Lynn and Lynn’s work and also everyone who has ever supported the Chris Lucas Trust.  I hope to raise some money so please help and support the Chris Lucas Trust.
