Jane Morris is raising money for Railway Children

Team: EMR Three Peaks Team 2023

EMR Three Peaks Team 2023 · 26 September 2022

Railway Children has a vision of a world in which no child is lost to the streets. Across the UK, India and Tanzania, our networks provide an opportunity for us to reach children who are alone and vulnerable before they come to serious harm. Together, we’re determined we’ll leave no child behind.

Story

In June 2023 Team EMR will be completing the Three Peaks Challenge to raise funds for the Railway Children. Equivalent to three half marathons, this challenge sees us climb Snowdon, Scafell Pike, and Ben Nevis (the highest mountains in England, Scotland, and Wales) in less than 72 hours! Railway Children believe in a world where no child ever has to live on the streets. They provide protection and opportunities to children that have no one else to turn to - reaching thousands of children across the UK, India, and East Africa who run away or are forced to leave homes that have become unbearable through poverty, abuse, violence, and neglect. This is an action-packed challenge, seeing us climb Snowdon overnight, before travelling to Ravenglass to climb Scafell Pike with no sleep! We then head overnight on the train up to Fort William, to climb the UK's highest mountain, Ben Nevis. In the lead-up to this challenge, we will each be completing individual fundraisers, events (and lots of training!) to raise as much money as possible for this important cause - every penny helps so thank you for your donation big or small.
