Story
Hi there, and thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.
Some time back in October 2012 I set myself the challenge of completing a half marathon. It's a distance I've never attempted before, so I needed a really strong incentive to get out and train for it over the long, dark winter months.
Anyone who knows me well will know that I'm a passionate advocate of the tremendous support provided to our former and serving soldiers, sailors and airmen by the military charities that have been established to provide for them. Blind Veterans UK (formerly St. Dunstans) is no exception, providing expertise and facilites to assess, support, rehabilitate, train, and care for those who have suffered the loss of their sight and their independence in the service of our country. I guess there's a local pull to Blind Veterans UK for me too; I'm based in East Sussex, and will be running in Brighton, where Blind Veterans UK have one of their Residential Assessment Centres.
I'm hoping to raise at least £500 for Blind Veterans, and any more would be great. I hope you feel you can support me with a charitable donation through this web page. I'll appreciate every penny you can give, but more importantly so will the men and women whose lives you'll be making a positive impact on through your support.

Thank you,
