The National Three Peaks Challenge · 12 July 2014

We support people living with a life limiting illness, & their families, helping them maintain independence & dignity. We believe everyone should have access to the best care at the end of their lives. To achieve this, our expert team work in people’s homes & at the Hospice to offer specialist care.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

There are 13 of us that are going to walk The National Three Peaks Challenge (UK).

The Littleborough 13 consist of:

Janine Browne, Adam Browne, Daniel Lockett, Adele Evans, Gary Keegan, Charlotte BaloghBrian Richardson, Steven Kershaw, Adam (Simmy) Simpson, Donna Doherty, Mark (Fred) Doherty, Ben Porter & Robert (Bob) Crossley.

We have a very important person  who is taking time out of his busy schedule to drive us all the way around the country for the challenge, providing the petrol and minibus and keeping us motivated : Graham Poole, what a legend :)

The National Three Peaks Challenge is a well known phrase amongst the more adventurous. This challenge involves walking the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours.

We will be setting off at midnight on the 11th July to travel to Ben Nevis so that we can walk Ben Nevis at first light.  Then we will travel down to Scafell Pike and then finish off walking Snowden (this will probably be walked at night in the dark).

We are aiming to walk all of these peaks in 24 hours or less, we have been going to gym sessions but it will be a tough and strenuous challenge.  Please wish us luck & please donate to a wonderful charity.

We are doing this challenge to donate the money to Springhill Hospice as it is a great cause and we all know someone that they have helped and supported through their last days of cancer.
