I am so looking forward to celebrating my birthday with Jane after 34 years of friendship and all of you who are able tp join us.

 

Leuka is a charity which supports the heamatolgy unit at the Hammersmith Hospital.

Many of you will have heard me say how impressesed I was with the treatment I received for a stem cell transplant and continue to receive as an outpatient at the hospital.

I knew that Leuka made a significant contribution to supporting research in the unit but was not aware they had provided funding towards modernising facillities, buying specialist equipment and underwriting the salaries of research staff to enable recruitment of the very best doctors.

This is a great oppportunity for me to give something back.
