Story

Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I assure you my story is definitely worth the read and for a great cause too!

I hope to inspire other people of all ages out there. I hope to inspire people of all backgrounds and races. I hope to inspire the youth of today; the Singhs and the Kaurs out there.

“There were days I would cry in despair at my situation and hopelessness. I truly felt alone.” – These words of Gurdeep Singh we can all relate to. The truth is no one deserves to feel like this, you do not deserve to feel like this, your family or friends do not deserve to feel like this so then why should those who are wrongly captivated and imprisoned for years and years without any justification or proof have to feel like this?

As many will remember there was a huge uproar when Professor Devinder Pal Singh Bhullar was wrongly imprisoned by the Indian Government. Bhullar he himself said “we are silenced in here, we have nowhere to go, each day could be our last.” For me these words echo loudly, knowing that I have the power to make a difference to someone’s life and add colour to their life, giving them the chance to live a full life, even by doing the smallest things. This is why I have chosen to take part in the Jump for Freedom Skydive for the Sikh Organisation for Prisoner Welfare (SOPW) a registered charity in the UK run by volunteers, who are fighting to achieve equality, justice and human rights for thousands of Sikhs who have been illegally prisoned and tortured in India. To help those women and young girls who have been raped, to help those children who cannot afford education.

SOPW has made a HUGE difference to thousands of innocent Sikhs by providing support to the prisoners and their families. Basic needs such as warm clothing, soap, food, education, pension schemes and providing good lawyers to the wronged prisoners has been achieved. Giving people HOPE and a VOICE.

This fantastic charity that has already helped so many lives could not be as successful as they have been if it was not for the help and support given by the public. This is your opportunity to donate and make a difference! So please dig deep and donate now! Big or small donations are appreciated. Every penny counts and will make a tremendous difference to the lives of so many wronged people. The Future looks Bright, the Future is Orange!

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

“Before becoming a Muslim, a Hindu, a Sikh or a Christian, let’s become a Human first” – Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

It matters! Together we will make a difference! Be a part of the revolution!

Thank you for your support!
