VSO is an international development organisation that brings people together to share skills, build capabilities, and change lives to make the world a fairer place for all. Everyday, VSO volunteers are working to empower people living in some of the world’s most marginalised communities.

Story

Hello everyone, it is Jas here !

Thank you thank you for visiting my page.

I have been given the amazing opportunity to make a crucial difference to the lives of people in developing countries, by working with VSO.  More specifically, I will be travelling to Nepal in late February for 10 weeks, partaking in education and health projects with other volunteers.  These projects are vital as they:

  • Contribute to children's later potential- increasing employability, health, resilience.
  • Create an environment for disadvantaged groups in which they feel able & willing to access education.
  • Aid education stakeholders in providing quality education for all.
  • Make communities aware about the importance of contraception & sexual reproduction health for women & girls.

So, you are probably wondering why I need your help! VSO's volunteers' skills, knowledge and sheer enthusiasm make a lasting change in the world's poorest communities. I am fundraising in support of all VSO funded projects, which benefit around 2 million people every year. By donating to my page you are not paying for just one placement, you are supporting all of VSO’s vital work, enabling them to continue to change the world through the power of volunteering.

So, amid my fundraising, a donation no matter how small or large, is massively appreciated and will make a real difference.

Thank you my beautiful people, and I hope you can support me along my journey.

Love as always,

Jas
