On Saturday 2nd July 2016 I will be attempting to jog / walk 100km from London Stratford Olympic Park to Cambridge. It is a 24 hour continuous challenge and I am aiming to complete it within 20-30 hours! 

I have always wanted to do a charity event like this and with the recent passing of a family member and my nan recently being diagnosed with dementia, I thought it was time to start taking action and get involved by supporting the charity Alzheimer's Society who support those affected with dementia and their families.  

Dementia can happen to anyone and there's currently no cure. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and the number is set to rise to 1 million by 2021. 

The Alzheimer's Society are there for anyone worried about or affected by dementia. They provide information and support, fund medical and social research, and campaign for better quality of life for people with dementia and greater understanding of the condition.
