The Heaton Ellis Trust aims to find a cure for Motor Neurone Disease. The Trust is committed to raising over £1million to fund the research programme headed by Professor Chris Shaw at the department of Clinical Neuroscience at King’s College Hospital in London.

Story

You don’t choose MND, it doesn’t affect a particular type of person,
everyone is vulnerable. Neil, as with many challenges that faced him,
tackled MND head-on. He learnt everything that is known about the
disease, and realised quickly that there are some wonderful people
dedicating their life’s work into finding a cure. Neil set up a charity, racing4MND, specifically to raise funds to support research to find a cure for MND. It is credit to Neil’s personality, his friendliness and his battling attitude to MND that encouraged so many of his friends to put themselves out to help with the charity, which to date has raised over one hundred thousand pounds.
