London 2 Brighton Challenge 100km Walk · 15 May 2013

Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a debiliting disease that eats throught the protein sheaths around nerve cells and so affects the way that the nervous system operates (in much the same way that if you cut the insulation away from electrical wiring it would short circuit). We know much about how the disease works and its symptoms, but almost nothing about what causes it or how to cure it.

My mom was diagnosed with MS in 1989 and has lived with this degenerative, debilitating condition ever since. She has never complained, never given up and never felt sorry for herself. She is the bravest person I have ever known.

So on 25-26 May 2013 I will be walking 100km in the London 2 Brighton Challenge for my mom and all the other MS sufferers whom I have met over the years.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. All donations will be greatly appreciated.
