Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hopefully the first challenge of many, I will be cycling the 52 miles from London to Southend with some good friends on the 21 July 2013....none of us have done this or anything like it before so it will be a great achievement to us all. As most of us are unfit and need constant loo brakes, this makes the ride even more challenging....only joking...I think !! We are trying to hit a donation of £ 500.00 between 8 of us, hopefully we can do this and help all the causes we are riding for. So even if its a pound all the money helps.

I like Kevs Diary of how hes training so thought I would add some input as well...problem I have is short term memory so I will start from tomorrow.......I think or did I ??!!

21st July :

Got away in good time, was first ones in line for train ( must be sad ) very manic getting there and getting through the start....so many bikes...started well...lots of hills but breat experience, everybody in the team finished and we managed to raise a good bit of money for charity.....Thank you all for your support...and everyone who met us at the finish line...

July 14th ( 1 week to go ) :

Out with Kev and Duggie, 20 miles for Duggie as hes getting over a cold, Kev and me hitting 47 and a half miles same time as last week 2 hours 47 minutes....getting nervous now but looking forward to the day.

July 7th :

47 Miles in 2 hours 47 minutes....Good run with Kev.
Somebody walked in front of him and he crashed but didnt dampen his spirit......running good now feeling good.....ready for the 21st !!

June 23rd :

Out with Kev again this morning left at 6:18am normal route but came back through Canewdon and went through Leigh, worst ride ever for wind....when we hit the seafront if we didnt pedel we instantly stopped !!....got us good but went on and on and hit 42 miles, proud of what we are both achieving...4 weeks to go !!

June : Weather......British....Not to bad

Gym work 3 to 4 times a week with my ROAG trainer ( he knows who he is ) !!

Out with Kev every Sunday 6am just hit 34 miles in one ride.....could do more so good sign...Gnizzie was with us Sunday just gone....16th...hes now called China, or slow boat from.

Going well at moment after my leg op so doing what I can for a good charity, next year will do it in fancy dress.....No Dugg not a DRESS fancy dress !!

If you fancy a laugh then make sure your at the finishing line at priory park to welcome us back.....we will be on our bikes or in ambulances.

I have picked Breast Cancer Care as my chosen charity.....One in 8 women in the UK will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their lives.

So please dig deep and donate now.
