100 Walks from Greenford to Neasden Temple

100 Years, 100 Walks from Greenford to Neasden Temple, 100 Walks to Celebrate 100 Years of Community Service · 1 October 2020
Raising funds for BAPS Charities for the incredible work they are doing around the world to serve individuals, families and communities.
Our Story
2021 marks the 100 year birth anniversary of Pramukh Swami Maharaj (1921-2016), the creator and inspirer of Neasden Temple where many of BAPS Charities’ activities are undertaken. He lived by the message: “In the joy of others lies our own.”
This year especially has seen the Neasden Temple play a vital service role in the community. With its network of other temples and centres around the country and even in Europe, Neasden Temple has been able to provide more than 50,000 meals to the needy and vulnerable and supported over 12,800 families in 61 towns and cities during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Inspired by Pramukh Swami Maharaj and his successor Mahant Swami Maharaj, I will walk from my home in Greenford West to Neasden Temple 100 times over the next 12 months to help raise funds for the fantastic work being undertaken by all of the volunteers at BAPS Charities.
