Iceman Polar Artic Challenge · 17 April 2018

The South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust Charitable fund is a well-established fund which helps to finance some services, equipment and enhancements that would not normally be expected in an NHS hospital. We are grateful to our fundraisers and supporters for their donations.

Story

I am taking on the Iceman Polar challenge raising money for Warwick Hospital's new maternity unit.

The Birth & Babies Appeal aims to raise £200,000 for enhancements to our midwifery led birthing centre, any donation will help us to make it the bets it can be for future parents in Warwickshire.

Jane Ives, Christina Ramos and I will be trekking through the Arctic in a ski race, whilst carrying all of our tents and supplies.

The Iceman route is approximately 100km in total and covers a mixture of frozen fjords, remote valleys and sweeping glaciers in the Arctic.

Day 1: Constable Point to Zemiteselv, via Postkassen Pass.

Day 2: Ugle Elv to Kalkdal valley entrance, via Fame Islands

Day 3: Kalkdal valley entrance to foot of Dragon Glacier, via Kalkdal valley

Day 4: Dragon Glacier to head of Sødal valley, via Bjerring Pedersens Glacier

Any support that you can offer really will make a difference and spur us on in the -30 degree cold!

Thank you

Jayne
