My Mother Irene Robbins has been suffering with Parkinsons Disease since 1997 and it has slowly but surely hindered the way she goes about life.

This charity is very close to my heart as Doreen Ebrell (Secretary of the Coventry Branch), spends an immense lot of time fund raising for not only Parkinsons but also St. Johns Ambulance and is the Secretary for the local Village Hall (Baginton) as well.  She gives a lot of her time to these activies and never asks for anything in return.

This charity allows sufferers to seek any available treatments i.e. physio therepy, trips to get them out and about and group activies when they meet once a month.

I know that Doreen is always in need of help raising money and this is where I can try and help by taking on the task of running the "Coventry Half Marathon - 13.1 miles - 23rd May 2010" and also "The Two Castles Run - 6 miles - 6th June 2010" in a bid to help raise much needed funds.

I am doing all the hard work so all I ask is that you see it in your heart to donate to this worthy charity and make the lives of people suffering with this terrible illness so much better and worth while.
