St James's Hospital foundation is the official fundraising body for St James's Hospital. Our mission is to raise funds & awareness to improve the healthcare & wellbeing of our patients. We are also committed to creating an environment where education & research flourishes for better patient care.

Story

I am going to be carrying out a cold December for the full 31 days of the month. This is when I will be submerging for 10 mins each day of December in natural elements (sea, lake, river etc.) It is and will be, quite challenging physically, but nothing in comparison to the challenges Lung cancer patients suffer on a daily basis.

I know this first hand as my mother is struggling with and fighting this illness at the moment and I wanted to raise for this very important cause.

Update: Mum sadly passed away on 12th of December 2020 after an extremely tough battle in her last week's.

All proceeds will go towards James Hospitals Target Lung Cancer campaign which assists in the much needed ongoing research of this illness.
