Shine London in the fight against cancer · 29 September 2012 ·

We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

Having successfully completed the London Moonwalk Marathon for breast cancer in 2007 I have again decided to raise money to fight this terrible illness.

Due to old age (ha ha!) I am limiting myself to a half marathon this time, and I am planning to share the experience with lots of my friends (still begging and pleading a number of them to do this with me!). So far my fellow team mates are

Gill Montanino, Antonella Lopez, Tanya Diver, Emma Fonticoba, Lisa Way, Julie Bean, Anne James and Debbie Watson. Please feel free to either sponsor them on their own pages or on our team page.

So please support this wonderful cause and donate whatever you can.

Cancer Research UK is funded entirely by amazing supporters like you.  By sponsoring me you can help more people survive cancer.

Every pound you donate really does make a difference to Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer – so please sponsor me now!

Gift Aid it!

If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box when donating as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.

Together we will beat cancer.
