Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Like many of you I have been deeply moved and angered by the refugee crisis engulfing Europe. Millions of desperate and vulnerable people from Syria and elsewhere have taken enormous risks to get themselves and their children to a place of sanctuary. As human beings I believe it is our duty to hold out our hands in friendship and offer whatever support we can.

The money I raise will go to the UN High Commission for Refugees and will provide much needed help and support. There are many worthy causes, but I believe the need here is pressing and acute and we must act now to prevent further deaths.

This is a small gesture when compared with the sacrifices being made by these people, but I feel I must do something. If you feel the same way as I do, then please donate whatever you can, large or small. I will keep you posted on my progress.
