Story
In August 2011 Dad suffered a massive stroke during an operation to try and decrease the risk of having another one after a series of mini strokes (TIA). It was completely devastating news to me and my brother, Mark. And to me particularly, because just over 18 months I too had a massive stroke, and my family faced the prospect of losing me. I survived; a big part was my Dad, driving several days of the week between Enfield and Blackheath to do things with Kevin and me.
Dad was not so lucky. Even though attempts were made to give him a stab at rehabilitation, unfortunately things took over and he passed over on 5 February 2012. The Stroke Association helped me a great deal with getting my voice back, and if Dad had survived, helped him. We have therefore chosen them if anyone wishes to make a donation instead of flowers. My brother and me, our partners Dawn and Kevin, and his grandchildren Sonny and Ellie-Mae thank you for your donation.
