Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My name is Jemima and I am 18 years old. I first fell ill with Hodgkins lymphoma two days shy of my 16th birthday, but after alot of intensive Chemo and radiotherapy I got an all clear from my oncologist. During this time alot of organisations helped myself and my family, one of which was The Joe Ellis Trust. The Joe Ellis Trust helps Isle of Wight children who have cancer and their families in their time of need. The Trust was set up in loving memory of Joe Ellis, who died 30/6/14, at the tender age of just 13 years, after being diagnosed with Primary Mediastinum large B cell Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
I am now just off my two years of being in remission but sadly the dreaded Hodgkins Lymphoma has returned again in my chest and throat. I have a long hard road a head of me but I will come out the other side. This is why I have decided to shave my hair off before it falls out and want to do it in aid of the Joe Ellis Trust to give something back to them after all the help they gave me and my family and all the help they continue to give other familys.

Thank you for reading and please do donate even if just a little :)
