<p>Hi everyone,</p> <p>We're travelling to Malawi at the end of March to work for the World Medical Fund for children as part of our elective.<span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">The WMF provides mobile clinics to remote villages with a team of clinical officers and nurses to provide medicines and diagnostic tools.&nbsp; Without the WMF,&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">children in rural regions would have no access to medical care due to severe poverty and lack of health/transport infrastructure. </span></span></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">The WMF is also successfully treating children suffering from AIDS, reducing the incidence of mother to child transmission of the HIV virus and ensuring that history does not repeat itself by giving HIV/AIDS education. </span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">WMF now treats over 35,000 sick children every year and saves young lives every day. </span></span>Please help us to contribute to the continuation of the&nbsp;brilliant work the&nbsp;WMF does!</p> <p>We will be swapping our high heels for trainers to run Cardiff 10K, 6th March.
