Royal Parks Half Marathon 2019 · 13 October 2019 ·
I've decided it's time to dust off the trainers, and put my feet to good use to support a cause close to my heart in memory of my beautiful sister, Sammy Johns. It may not seem like a huge distance (as most of you know I am quite active) however a challenge like this reminds me to be grateful for every day that I get to live, breathe, laugh, smile and run, and nothing beats doing something you love for an even better cause than just yourself. I know Sammy will be by my side every step of the way.
Starting and finishing in the stunning Hyde Park, I will be taking on the 13.1 mile route through central London, passing world-famous landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and Whitehall. (I hope to see some friendly faces around the course!)
I would be so grateful for your support in fundraising to help the people and families Trinity cares for in south-west and central London, to live every moment. It costs Trinity over £13 million each year to deliver its services, which are completely free of charge. The charity receives only a quarter of its funding from the NHS and has to raise over £9 million through the generosity of its supporters to continue its excellent work and care.
