Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

As many of you will be aware, Jo and I have been training for the Wolverhampton Half Marathon which is taking place on 4th September 2011.

Running? Jenn? No way, I hear you cry. Yes, I know it is difficult to believe, but it is true... and I have the blisters to prove it!

We are running in aid of Cancer Research UK, a charity that is close to both of our hearts.

My auntie, Glen Mills, is currently battling cancer, and so we both wanted to do something to raise as much money as we can to help fund research into this terrible illness.

All of the money that we are able to raise will generously be matched by Towergate Insurance, the insurance broker that I work for so please dig deep and give us as much as you can.

Towergate has made a special agreement with Cancer Research UK, that monies raised by employees will help fund a research project run by Professor Harris in Oxford that is looking into treatments that can prevent tumours from forming their own blood supply – one of the best chances we have of stopping the growth and spread of many types of cancer www.towergate.org.uk.

If we reach the £1000 target, that will mean that Cancer Research actually recieve £2000 which would be amazing!

We really appreciate your support and thank you for your donations.

With your help, we can ensure more people beat cancer.
