Having only known about Luna's Fund and meeting Luna's parents Amy and Ryan Conroy (through a special friend) in the last few months it has helped me no end through the struggles of baby loss even some 9 years on. I have made close friends at the charity and help as much as I can with the cause. It makes my daily struggles a little easier but more importantly, I get a chance to help other bereaved parents through these heart breaking times.
We attended Luna's Charity Ball on Oct 5th 2019 where we all celebrated Luna's Fund becoming an official charity (charity number:1184371).The day after on the 6th of October I ran the Plymouth 10km for Luna's Fund and in Memory of our Beautiful Baby Girl Miah.
The 6th Oct is Miah's Angelversary. She was sadly born sleeping and I never got to make eye contact with her, hear her heart beat or watch her tummy move while she breathed and she flows through my thoughts and feelings everyday. The pain, the guilt and the love one feels toward their baby after loss is unbearable, so to be facing my fears, and leaping out of an aeroplane at 15,000ft feels like nothing compared to what bereaved parents have been through, are going through and unfortunately are yet to go through. To be raising money to take the edge off those suffering is my absolute honour.
This skydive brings me 15,000ft closer to Miah and of course gives me the opportunity to raise money for such an incredible cause.
I am lucky enough to be doing this event with some close friends and I am sure our angel babies will be watching and giggling at their Mummies screaming and squealing as we take that leap.
I know Miah will be comforting me in an invisible blanket of love and warmth as I jump, free fall and parachute back to the ground and from both of us we would like to Thank You.
Much Love, Hugs, Thanks and Support to All,
Yours Faithfully
