Gary so longed to move to Aberystwyth and a couple of years ago, when the opportunity came, he took it and flew.
Although he had Asperger Syndrome and learning difficulties, he was a patient and determined man and he was so happy, at long last, to be setting up home just a short walk from the beach, the pier and the pub.
Also just around the corner was Mind, Aberystwyth which he joined very soon after settling in.
They were so supportive and helpful.  From the minefield of his PIPs assessment, which he won on appeal to his beloved art class, where he was inspired to draw more than he'd ever done before, they helped and encouraged him every step of the way.
He only had two short years in Aber, but he achieved his Dream and that must be enough.
