Affirmations LGBTQ+ Community Center is important to me, my family, our friends, and anyone because it is a welcoming space for all regardless of demographics regardless of background. I wish that my family and friends in the LGBTQ+ community would have been exposed to this fantastic organization and community center years ago. If they had known about it, their quality of life would have been so much richer.

I am such a strong proponent and advocate for Affirmations that I became a volunteer and now humbly serve on the board of directors with a fantastic team. As a DEI professional, I am encouraged by the depth of intentionality and authenticity of inclusion and belonging of our operations staff, board of directors, and coalition partners. 

Equity and Equality is our driving force. 

As a cisgender Black woman, mom, and wife, I am elated that this is a welcoming space for everyone.
