Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So in 2016, I thought I would challenge myself even more than achieving 2015 miles last year for the year 2015. So, in preparation for an even bigger challenge in 2017 ... and then 2018...
In 2016, I ran over 2620 miles (for the 26.2 miles of the marathon) - that's over 50 miles a week...every week including
1) 4 marathons in 4 weeks, 2) a marathon, 2 half marathons and a 10k in one weekend 3) a 24 hour endurance run in a team of 5 covering around 35-40 miles each in 24 hours 4) Running a 34 mile relay race but solo 5) a 112 mile bike ride followed by a marathon the next day 6) a few half marathons and then the fun started...!
In 2017...I qualified to run for England (which I ran in October 2017 in Chester), did a 50 mile race across the South Downs and then my first 100 mile event in 1 day - The South Downs Way 100 on 10 June 2017. I'll then go on to do the New York Marathon in November, the 2nd of the 6 major marathons around the world
In 2018..I will again run for England in Chester in October but ahead of that I will be running London, Milton Keynes and Liverpool marathons within a few weeks of eachother, followed by a whole weekend of running in June (a marathon, 2 half marathons and a 10k in 2 days), the Greensands Ridge ultra and then Berlin marathon (3rd of the Major Marathons) in September.
I'd love your support in this mad adventure for two such great charities. It's your support that really motivates me and keeps me going when the going gets tough!
Thank you so much in advance
Jen
