Steve and Jenny will be taking on their first 10k challenge on 27 September 2015, as part of the Morrison's Great Yorkshire Run in Sheffield.
We began running together earlier this year in a bid to improve our fitness and would like to run our first 10k in aid of Diabetes UK because everything the charity is fighting for is a cause close to our hearts. Steve was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes 25 years ago and has lived with the condition for the majority of his life, so we are keen to raise awareness and support for the charity that supports others living with diabetes.
Diabetes UK (http://www.diabetes.org.uk/) works to improve the health, care and wellbeing of people with diabetes, while campaigning to eradicate discrimination, and spends money on research which will hopefully one day lead to a cure.
Any donations you could make would be so much appreciated by us and a great help to a charity assisting people living with a condition that is a significant challenge.
