Jenn's Pre 50th Birthday 1/2 Marathon · 6 April 2014

The Daisy Trust is a small charitable trust founded over 30 years ago. It is run entirely by volunteers who organise several fundraising events each year. The money raised enables us to support local charities and volunteer organisations in Hammersmith and Fulham through a grants process.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

One of my life-long goals has been to run a half marathon!  As I will turn 50 on the 20th of April, I have decided there is no better time and will run the Half Marathon in Madrid on the 6th of April with my friends Amy, Paloma, Pattie and Arta.

With this run, I would like to raise money for the Daisy Trust, a truly amazing charity run by some of my good friends that supports many organizations in Fulham and Hammersmith.  It's run 100% by volunteers, so all monies raised goes right back into the community.

In the past 6 months, the Daisy Trust has given money to The Upper Room (providing hot meals for the homeless), River House Trust (a support centre for HIV), SEAPIA (Sands End community drop in centre for kids), West London Churches (providing food and shelter to the homeless), Fulham Good Neighbours Services (helping the elderly and housebound residents  with residential visits) and The Haven (supporting people with breast cancer), to name just a few.

Instead of any cards or gifts for my 50th birthday, please support this wonderful cause with a small donation.  Thank you.
