Brighton Marathon 2015 · 12 April 2015 ·
Hi everyone, thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I decided to run the Brighton Marathon for both the personal challenge and the opportunity to raise money for a good cause, and I couldn't think of a cause more worthy than Cancer Research UK.
It would be hard to find one person who hasn't been affected by cancer, either themselves or through their friends and family. I will be running in memory of my uncle, but you can donate for anyone you know who has suffered.
Your donations will be invaluable to Cancer Research UK's fight against the disease and the support it provides to those affected by it. Any donation would be most welcome, whatever the amount.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charities involved.
This is my first ever marathon and I'm aiming to run it in about four hours, which means A LOT of training - I've been running five days out of seven since mid-January, and am averaging 35.5 miles a week. It's definitely taking its toll, but I feel like I'm on track and I'm unexpectedly excited. Knowing that I'm doing it all for a good reason really helps.
Thank you so much for your support, I'll let you know how I get on!
